MADISON (WKOW) -- UW Women's Hockey fans can help local families in need just be attending the game on Saturday.
The event "Ice Hunger" benefits Second Harvest Foodbank. For every person in attendance, Becker Law Office will donate $1.
Fans are also encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item. The first 250 fans that bring an item to donate will receive a free giveaway and have the opportunity to win other prizes.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children.
The game against Ohio State begins at 7 p.m. at LaBahn Arena.
Dan Stein, the president and CEO of Second Harvest Foodbank, joins us on 27 News at 5 on Friday to preview the event and talk about the needs of the food pantry.
