Couple robbed at gunpoint in Fulton Township

FULTON TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- A Fulton Township couple was robbed of several long guns, cash and ammunition at gunpoint late Friday night.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office said two white males in their late teens to early twenties, about 5'7" to 5'9" tall, entered the residence of a couple on W. Miles Road in Fulton Township around 10:54 p.m.

Authorities said the preliminary investigation showed the suspects entered the residence through an unlocked door and held the homeowners hostage at gunpoint.  Officials said the suspects demanded access to a safe and took several long guns, a few handguns, some ammunition and an undetermined amount of cash.

Authorities said the suspects fled the scene in a red, 2011 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup (Wisconsin Dual Purpose Farm plate GL7661), which belonged to the couple.  The suspects are still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.   If located, citizens are encouraged to contact the Rock County Communications Center at (608) 757-2244.

According to the report, the male homeowner was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville where he was treated for a bloody nose and minor cuts. The female homeowner was not injured during the incident.
