Eau Claire (WQOW) - The Eau Claire Police Department says a water main broke early Sunday morning off Eddy Lane, forcing the road to be closed as crews worked on the main break. The road has now been reopened.

It's unknown what caused the problem. Police say Eddy Lane was closed from Starr Avenue to Anderson Drive for several hours.

We spoke with a business off Eddy Lane who says its water pressure was affected this morning, but has since been fixed.

A call to the city public works office was not returned.
