Arraignment set for man accused of killing half-brother

Jeffrey Vogelsberg, 28 Jeffrey Vogelsberg, 28

MADISON (WKOW) -- An arraignment date is set for the former Mazomanie man accused of killing his half-brother.

Jeffrey Vogelsberg, 28, is charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide and Hiding a Corpse. He's accused of killing his half-brother, Matthew Graville, who had autism.

Graville's body was found in rural Sauk County after he had been missing for months. He lived with Vogelsberg in Mazomanie at the time.

Prosecutors say Vogelsberg regularly tortured and finally killed Graville in July. He was arrested in Washington State in November, where he had moved to be with his wife, who is stationed at a military base there.

Last week, a Dane County judge bound Vogelsberg over for trial. He will be in court again January 31 for his arraignment, where he will enter a plea.
