Eau Claire (WQOW) - At Tuesday night's city council meeting, the city
approved the sale of the former parks and recreation building to a company out
of Minneapolis.
That company plans to create 22 apartments for low to moderate income
tenants. There will be one, two and three
bedroom units. The company is buying the building from the city for $385,000, and
plans to invest $3.38 million into the building. The sale is contingent upon
the company getting some grants from the state to help subsidize the costs.

Eau Claire (WQOW) - The City of Eau Claire could be close to making a deal on an old building.
On Monday night, the city council will meet in closed session to talk about selling the former Parks & Rec building on 1st Avenue. The building has been vacant since Parks & Rec staff relocated more than three years ago. There's no word on who might be interested in the building.
