MADISON (WKOW) -- A Zumbathon Fundraiser will be going on today to raise money for a 60-year-old woman battling Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Diane Strassman battles Lou Gehrig's Disease and her daughter, Ashley Anderson, has set up an event to raise awareness and money for her mom's medical fund.
The Zumbathon Fundraiser will be today from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Brooklyn Community Center at 102 North Rutland Road in Brooklyn.
Cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the door and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Diane Strassman ALS Medical Fund.
Lou Gehrig's Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
