MADISON (WKOW) -- Some young fans braved the cold Sunday morning to meet some ladies who are used to being a little chilly.
The Badger Women's Hockey Team held their annual outdoor team skate Sunday morning at Vilas Park. It's a chance for fans to skate with the team.
While it was certainly bitter cold in Madison, the Badgers had just returned from a win in North Dakota, where it may have been even chillier.
"It's a little warmer than it was in North Dakota, believe it or not, but you know it's a little chilly but it's nice to have a good show up still," says Badgers captain Brianna Decker.
The team also promoted their "Ice Hunger" games set for January 27th and February 16th. Fans attending those games are encouraged to bring along non-perishable food items to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank.
