MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Milwaukee long-running annual celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. continued on Sunday, with a multi-cultural performing arts salute.
And most of those performing at the 29th annual event were young people
"When you listen to these young people, particularly the speakers, and how inspirational they are, that they really do give us hope for the future and they're really leading us, we're not leading them," said Marcus Center President and CEO Paul Matthews.
Organizers say only Milwaukee and Atlanta have celebrated Dr. King's birthday every year since 1984.
