Roberts (WQOW) - As traffic continues to increase on Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin, there are plans in the works to widen the highway.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is studying whether I-94 should be widened to three lanes in both directions between Baldwin and Hudson. That stretch currently carries about 42,000 vehicles every day and that number is expected to continue growing. Construction would not begin until at least 2018.
A meeting to explain the proposals is set for Tuesday night at the Community Park Building in Roberts. It starts at five.
