FOND DU LAC COUNTY (WKOW) -- The cold weather is causing damage on the shores of Lake Winnebago.
Ice shoves are piling up as high as 10 feet in sections of the lake's southeast shoreline., tearing up ramps, piers and uprooting trees.
Some chunks of ice are more than a foot thick.
Kurt Moore lives along the lake and says he woke up Sunday morning to a shredded boat house.
"I looked outside and saw the damage, that's my pride and joy you know, my boathouse. My heart just sank there for a minute."
The ice is so heavy, it takes a tractor to lift it, which means cleanup won't start until it melts away.
