Man punches employee after being asked to leave restaurant

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 35-year-old employee was attacked inside the Parthenon Gyros Restaurant Friday night.

The victim was punched in the head as he and other co-workers were trying to escort an intoxicated man out of the restaurant. 

43-year-old Christopher Hubbard was falling asleep at one of the tables, after he had been coughing loudly and spitting up.

After being told to leave, the suspect became verbally abusive and charged the victim. 

Employees informed Hubbard police had been called and then he fled.

Officers located him inside another downtown establishment and placed him under arrest for battery and disorderly conduct.
