Barron County (WQOW) - One of the men suspected of burglarizing a church and trashing a house is sentenced in Barron County.

James Rahn got eight months in jail on Tuesday and was ordered to pay restitution. Rahn and two others were arrested last April after a woman said she came across them burglarizing the Dovre Lutheran Church. The three also allegedly caused $50,000 damage to a home across the street.

Investigators say two of the men admitted breaking into the home because they knew it was vacant and being foreclosed. They were charged with smashing the walls to steal copper wiring, tearing down ceiling fans, and trying to steal a hot tub, which turned out to be too heavy.

The other two suspects, Wes Gallipo and Brandon Nickell, are scheduled to be sentenced next week.
