MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison city alder is planning a community meeting regarding the officer-involved shooting of Paul Heenan.
Heenan was shot and killed November 9 after a confrontation with Madison police officer Stephen Heimsness. Both the Madison Police Department and the Dane County District Attorney have ruled that Heimsness' actions were justified.
Alder Marsha Rummel says she's bringing residents together so they can share concerns and ask questions of the D.A. and police department about the investigation and training procedures for the use or deadly force.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bethany Evangelical Free Church, 301 Riverside Drive.
