MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison woman took part in a police sting to get back her stolen bicycle.
Officers say the 64-year-old woman found her bike being sold on craigslist.
In working with police, she set up a meeting to test out the bike on North Orchard Street.
When she confirmed it was hers, police arrested the seller, 52-year-old Randall Wallace.
Police say they've seen similar cases with other bikes and electronics.
"We encourage people if they've been the victim of a burglary or a theft, in this case was probably more of a theft, to take a look at craigslist. Sometimes people who are stealing these things are trying to turn them around quickly and that's certainly one venue where some people do go," says Joel DeSpain of the Madison Police Department.
Police say Wallace told them he didn't steal the bike, but found it in a snow bank.
He was arrested for receiving stolen property.
