UPDATE: Not guilty plea for man charged with domestic kidnapping

MADISON (WKOW) --  The husband of a woman who went missing at the end of December pleads not guilty to kidnapping.

Andres Uscanga, 20, was in Dane County Court Thursday morning.  Madison police say he held his wife, 18-year-old Frankie Brandon, against her will.

Police believed Uscanga had taken Brandon, and he was armed and dangerous.

Lake Delton police helped find the couple's vehicle after officials learned they may have been at Dells motel.

Uscanga was taken into custody New Year's morning.

When officers found Frankie, she was in fair condition with injuries appearing as though she had been beaten.

Uscanga was taken to the Dane County jail on charges including domestic kidnapping, battery and false imprisonment.

It is further noted Victor Uscanga-Mena is charged with kidnapping - party to a crime.

According to the criminal complaint, Uscanga-Mena did, by force or threat of imminent force, carry Brandon from one place to another without her consent, and with the intent to cause her to be secretly confined.

Uscanga-Mena was in court Thursday as well, and pleaded not guilty.
