MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Michael Mersch had a hand in three goals to lead Wisconsin to a 5-2 win on Friday over reeling Alaska-Anchorage in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Mersch had two goals and an assist for the Badgers (10-8-5, 7-5-5), who sent the Seawolves (3-15-5, 1-14-4) to their 10th loss in their last 11 games.
Tyler Barnes, Mark Zengerle and Nic Kerdiles had a goal and assist apiece for Wisconsin, which improved to 9-1-2 in its last 12 games.
The Badgers outshot Alaska-Anchorage 37-14. Wisconsin goalie Joel Rumpel had 12 saves and Rob Gunderson had 32 saves for the Seawolves, who got goal from Blake Tatchell and Scott Allen.
