MADISON (WKOW) -- The Dane County Regional Airport marks its second best year in history.
Passenger traffic went up almost 7 percent compared to 2011. In 2012, 810,953 passengers flew out of Madison. The airport's best year ever was in 2004 with 847,341 passengers.
The boost in passengers was driven by several service expansions including New York-LaGuardia, Cincinnati, Denver, Orlando and Washington D.C.
The Dane County Regional Airport has more than 90 daily arrivals and departures.
