Eau Claire, WI (WQOW) - Dangerous travel conditions are expected this afternoon and tonight due to a combination of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and freezing drizzle.  In total, some parts of the WQOW viewing area could pick up 4" to 6" of snow, while other areas will receive less snow and more ice.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for a large portion of the WQOW viewing area until midnight tonight.  This warning includes Eau Claire, Chippewa, and Dunn Counties.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for counties farther north of the Eau Claire area.  Travel is not recommended this afternoon and tonight.
