WISCONSIN DELLS (WKOW) -- Two Wisconsin kids were reunited with their mother Saturday.
Zach and Mackenzie Leofilos, from Port Edwards, were in a cheerleading competition in Wisconsin Dells. After their team's performance, they were called to the front for a special announcement -- the return of their mother, Army Specialist April Davis.
Davis and her boyfriend, Sgt. Kelly Spykerman, came on stage and were immediately greeted with big hugs.
Davis and Spykerman had just returned from a year-long deployment to Afghanistan.
"It's nice that I can finally be back with my mom," Zach said.
Davis and Spykerman have to leave Sunday to finish up the demobilization process, which will take about a month.
The kids have been staying with their great aunt while their mom was away.
