Bloomer (WQOW) - One of the suspects in a string of
arson fires in the Bloomer area is going to jail.
Cody Burgess was sentenced Friday to
four months in jail. That's in addition to the five months he spent in jail
after he was arrested.
Six fires
broke out in Bloomer last august, including one at a city-owned shed and three
at businesses. Burgess pleaded no contest Friday to attempted arson and
burglary. He was ordered to pay for the
damage. Several other suspects in some
of the fires are still awaiting trial.
