MADISON (WKOW) -- Friends of the Madison man killed in a suspected hit and run crash came together Sunday to remember him.
Aryle Dahlke was a regular at Murphy's Tavern on East Washington, where his friends gathered today.
They say the 66-year-old retiree was a caring and thoughtful man.
"He always had a really fun sense of humor, fun attitude. His smile was... it just drew people in," said Murphy's bartender Frank Duane.
Dahlke was found on Portage Road last Sunday night and later died at an area hospital.
Madison police say his injuries are consistent with being struck by a vehicle, but also say he may have already been lying in the road at the time.
Police ask anyone with information about Aryle Dahlke's death to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.
