WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKOW) -- Immune systems across the country may be getting a break, as a new Centers for Disease Control(CDC) report shows flu activity is still high but is decreasing in many areas.
As of Friday, January 25, 47 states reported widespread geographic flu activity, which was down from 48 states the week before. The report also found "high" levels of flu-like illness in 26 states, which was down from 30 the week prior.
The latest report showed levels seemingly declining here in the midwest, but rising in the southwest and northwest.
