Man breaks world record on Lake Koshkonong

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Milton man broke his own world record today when he hit 108.5 mph on his motorcycle while doing a wheelie on Lake Koshkonong.

Ryan Suchanek broke the previous record of 95 mph, which he set a few years ago.

Suchanek, who has special studs on his tires, says preparation is the key to safety.

"You gotta make a tire that takes a while, you gotta get used to riding on the ice which isn't easy," Suchanek said. "The thing is you never know what the weather's going to be like."

Suchanek says you can always go faster, and he hopes to try again next year with a new clutch and better weather conditions.
