MADISON (WKOW) -- A 68-year-old Madison man was arrested Tuesday morning on a tentative charge of child enticement.
A 15-year-old girl tells police the suspect tried to coax her into his car while she walked to her bus stop around 7:25 a.m. on Hughes Place.
The student said the man asked her if she wanted to come with him. She ran to her nearby home, with the suspect following in his vehicle.
The teen's mother was able to get a description of the suspect, his car and license plate number.
With the information the girl's mother provided, Madison Police set up outside the suspect's Gorham Street residence. The man pulled in a short time later and was taken into custody.
William Rhode denies any wrong doing and says he drove to the Park Street area to get fast-food.
