MAZOMANIE (WKOW) -- Authorities in Dane County are investigating a bank robbery in Mazomanie.

The Dane County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to The Peoples Community Bank on W. Commercial St. around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies say a man came into the bank and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and then he fled on foot.

Deputies brought in a K9 unit from the Waunakee Police Department to help in their search, but they could not find the suspect.
