Police: Alleged john robbed during prostitution solicitation


Eau Claire (WQOW) - Police say an Eau Claire man who tried to set up a night with a prostitute ended up getting robbed instead.

The man told police he went to an ATM with Shawna Kirk and Paige Rodriguez. The man got cash to pay Kirk. But police say she drove them to a secluded area and Rodriguez robbed him of the cash while claiming to have a gun.

Kirk and Rodriguez, who are both from Altoona, were arrested.


Eau Claire (Press Release) - On January 30, 2013 at approximately 8:25 p.m., Eau Claire Police were called to the area of Folsom Street and N. Clairemont Avenue on a report that a robbery had occurred.

The victim advised that he had taken money out of an ATM in the area with the intent to use the money to solicit an act of prostitution from Shawna Kirk.

Kirk and Paige Rodriguez met with the victim and drove him to a secluded area where Rodriguez claimed to have a gun and then demanded money from the victim.

Kirk and Rodriguez then left the victim and were later apprehended in Altoona by the Altoona Police Department and Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office.

The following people have been arrested for their involvement at this point:

Shawna L. Kirk, DOB 08/04/1990 of Altoona on charges of prostitution and party to a crime of robbery

Paige Allen Rodriguez, DOB 01/12/1990 of Altoona on charges of robbery

This matter is being investigated by the Eau Claire Police Department Detective Division.
