MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police received information about a wanted subject.

That person, 42-year-old John Curry, is a registered sex offender and is supposed to be staying at a halfway house on Odana Road.

The State Department of Corrections states Curry secretly left the facility Thursday night and removed his GPS bracelet.

A report to police states Curry may have been in the 1000 block of E. Dayton Street Friday morning.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of John Curry should contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
