New superintendent named for O-F school district - WQOW TV: Eau Claire, WI NEWS18 News, Weather, and Sports

Osseo-Fairchild (WQOW) - A familiar face at an area school district is settling into a new role.

Bill Tourdot was recently named the new superintendent of Osseo-Fairchild schools. Before that he served as the middle and high school principal.

Tourdot says he hopes to stay with the district until he retires. His new annual salary is $114,000, a 32 percent raise over his salary as principal. Tourdot also wants to continue the educational goals of his predecessor, Dennis Geissler.

The investigation into Geissler's death continues. His body was found in his car in a closed garage at his lake home in Chetek in November. Investigators say the engine had been running until it ran out of gas.  

The sheriff says the medical examiner is still waiting on test results and a final determination on the cause of his death could take another five months.
