Woman breaks free from stranger's grasp

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say a stranger grabbed the arm of a 21-year-old female and tried to get the woman to go with him Saturday night.

The woman stated she was able to free her arm from the man's grasp and run off.  She was afraid he would try to assault her.

At the time of the incident, the woman was wearing headphones and about to enter a building in the 400 block of W. Gorham Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20-30 years old, 6'5" with a slender build.  The victim states he had facial stubble, was wearing a blue stocking cap, dark pants, and a puffy winter coat with no collar or hood.
