Four arrested in Eau Claire robbery, burglary

Eau Claire (Press Release) - On Thursday, January 31, 2013, Eau Claire Police were dispatched to 3123 Eldorado Boulevard, Apartment #6 for a 911 call indicating that two males had forced entry into the occupied residence armed with a crowbar and homemade weapons.

The males were identified as one of the occupant's ex-boyfriend, Braden J. Drier and his brother, Chad D. Drier. The Driers threatened the occupants of the apartment before stealing an item and leaving the residence.

Follow up investigation by the Eau Claire Police Department patrol officers and detectives discovered that earlier in the day, Braden Drier's residence at 1021 Second Avenue had been burglarized by Mitchell A. Christenson who was the second occupant at the incident on Eldorado Boulevard. Christenson was assisted in the earlier burglary by Braden Drier's roommate Philip J. Mueller.

The following individuals were arrested in relation to these incidents:

Braden J. Drier, 19, of 1021 Second Avenue, Eau Claire

He faces charges of:

  • Armed Robbery
  • False Imprisonment
  • Criminal Damage to Property
  • Burglary–Armed & Dangerous Weapon
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Knowingly Violating Restraining Order
  • Battery
  • Criminal Trespass to Dwelling

Chad D. Drier, 25, of 1026 Oxford Avenue, Eau Claire

He faces charges of:

  • Armed Robbery
  • Burglary-Armed & Dangerous Weapon

Mitchell A. Christenson, 22, of 1313 Bittersweet Road, Eau Claire

He faces a charge  of:

  • Burglary

Philip J. Mueller, 23, of 1021 Second Avenue, Eau Claire

He faces charges of:

  • Burglary
  • Resisting/Obstructing an Officer
