RUSK COUNTY - Trial started Monday for a local man accused of providing drugs and alcohol to girls, then sexually assaulting them.

Michael Fodness, from Chippewa Falls, faces 16 charges. He allegedly sexually assaulted five teenaged girls.

They came forward in 2010 and reported the assaults, which allegedly happened about ten years earlier in the Colfax area. Fodness' trial is being held in Rusk County because of extensive news coverage of the case. The trial is expected to last more than a week.
