Woman pushed to the ground at West Towne Mall

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police were called to West Towne Mall late Saturday afternoon for a battery report.

A 20-year-old Middleton woman says a group of people were on the sidewalk, blocking her path.  She said excuse me and tried to move through.  As she did, a woman pushed her from behind.  When she turned around, the same woman pushed her again.  That push was then followed by a punch, delivered by a male member of the group.

During the encounter, the victim threw her iPhone at the woman.  The woman picked it up and took off with the phone.

The suspects are described as both being black and between the ages of 17 and 20.
