Water main break in Eau Claire

Water Main Break: There is a water main break at the 2700 block of Maiden Lane. Repairs will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. There will be 6 customers out of water, and city crews will be notifying all customers that are affected by the outage.

Due to the location, we do not anticipate having to detour traffic at the excavation site. Once the repair is complete, the excavation will be backfilled, and the water will be turned back on.

It is anticipated the street will be cold mixed patched by the Street Division on Wednesday, and in the meantime, we will have barricades on the disturbed area of the street to warn drivers of the graveled patch.
