Eau Claire (WQOW) - The price of gas did not go up in Eau Claire Tuesday, which is worth reporting.

Gas prices increased by another nickel Monday. That was the ninth spike in 18 days. We're now paying $3.59 in Eau Claire, which is 45 cents higher than what it was in mid-January. The big jump is being blamed on familiar factors: rising oil prices and tension in the Middle East, but we're also hearing an improving economy could be another factor. Speculators think there will be more demand for gas.
