Madison (WQOW) -- With national signing day coming up on Wednesday, Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez is very happy with the job done by new head football coach Gary Andersen.
"I couldn't be more pleased with how Gary and his staff have come in," Alvarez says, "wrapped their arms around recruiting, been able to hold things secure within the state, hold things secure with those who had committed previously. Recruiting is the life blood of your program, the future of your program, and even though we made a coaching change, I don't see that we dropped in recruiting. As a matter of fact, we may have taken a step upward."
