The Dane County Sheriff's Office says deputies learned Emmanuel Haslet recently won $10,000 in cash at Dejope Casino. They say he owed about $6,000 in child support.
On Wednesday night around 8 p.m., Haslett was arrested during a traffic stop at Highway 30 and Fair Oaks Avenue in the town of Blooming Grove. Officials say Haslett had over $13,000 in cash in his possession when he was arrested.
Haslett was booked into the Dane County Jail on the warrant for non-support and also cited for Operating After Suspension and No Insurance.
Officials say there are currently 975 outstanding warrants for child support in Dane County. One Sheriff's deputy is assigned full-time to child support enforcement.
