MADISON (WKOW) -- A 14-year-old girl is arrested after an attack on a Madison Metro bus Tuesday evening.
The suspect repeatedly punched a 15-year-old girl in the face, scratched, kicked, and pulled her hair. After the assault, the suspect was ordered off the bus near West Towne Mall.
The victim was able to identify the other girl and police later arrested her at her home.
Following her arrest, the suspect told police she believed the victim told a lie about a member of her family. "I saw her on the bus, so I fought her," she said.
The 14-year-old was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on tentative charges of battery and disorderly conduct.
