Eau Claire (WQOW) - Police say last weekend's snowfall helped them locate burglars who hit approximately 10 homes in River Falls.
Officers followed tracks in the fresh snow which led them directly to the homes of three River Falls men: Codi Walztoni, Kyle Dudrey and Christopher Schaeppi. They are suspected in burglaries that happened last weekend, and the week before. Mostly cash and small electronics were taken with the losses in the thousands of dollars.
Police say the thieves didn't break into any homes, instead they went to about 30 houses and robbed those that had unlocked doors. Police say that's why residents should always lock their doors and garages at all times.
