MADISON (WKOW) – The Wisconsin Badgers pull off a huge win, defeating Michigan in overtime Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
Ben Brust hit a shot from just inside midcourt to put the game into overtime. With 40 seconds left in overtime, Brust hit a tie-breaking 3-pointer to give Wisconsin the win over Number 3 Michigan, 65-62.
Brust scored 14 points for the Badgers (17-7, 8-3 Big Ten), while Jared Berggren added 13.
Trey Burke scored 19 points for Michigan (21-3, 8-3 Big Ten), while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 18.
Hardaway hit a 3-pointer with less than 3 seconds to play in regulation to put the Wolverines up by 3 points. Brust collected the inbounds pass near halfcourt, took one dribble and hit the shot to tie the game.
After putting the Badgers into overtime, Brust hit the winning 3-pointer with less than 40 seconds left in overtime.
With seconds left, Burke missed a 3-pointer at the end of the game and the Wisconsin fans stormed the court after the buzzer.
