BELOIT (WKOW) -- A new Crime Stoppers TV monitor at the Rock County Courthouse led to the arrest of a murder suspect.
Beloit police reported on Saturday that they had arrested Tevon Marley in Beloit. 29-year-old Marley was wanted for a November murder of Ricky Sims, Jr.
Police say a tipster called in Marley's location to the Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers, after seeing his picture on the courthouse Crime Stoppers TV.
The TV feed was put up at the courthouse less than two weeks ago, showing pictures of hundreds of Rock County's most wanted. A Beloit detective tells 27 News that before the monitor, the department had gotten no tips about Marley in more than three months.
BELOIT (WKOW) -- Beloit Police say officers have arrested 29-year-old Tevon Marley in the November 4, 2012 homicide of Ricky Sims, Jr.
Marley was arrested in Beloit at a home on the 1900 block of Elmwood Avenue.
He was taken to the Rock County Jail and faces a charge of First Degree Intentional Homicide.
Sims, Jr. was shot multiple times and later died from his injuries.
