FORT ATKINSON (WKOW) -- Crews battled a barn fire in Fort Atkinson for hours Saturday.

No people were injured but the Fort Atkinson Fire Department says 30 to 34 cows were killed in the fire. It started around 3:00 p.m. at N3726 Ehrke Road.

Fire officials say the barn was fully engulfed at one point. Firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to other buildings.
