Menomonie (WQOW) - UW-Stout gets the green light for its first ever doctoral program.
The program
was approved on Friday by the UW Board of Regents. The university says the
board unanimously approved the proposal, allowing the university to create a
doctor of education degree in career and technical education. The 60-credit degree
will take about three years to complete, and UW-Stout expects about 15 students
a year to enroll in the program. The new degree still needs the approval of the
higher learning commission, UW-Stout's accreditation body. The university says
because of that, it's unclear when the program will begin.
