Altoona (WQOW) - The wheels are in motion to bring a new development to Altoona.

A developer has bought the Hillcrest golf course with plans to turn it into a housing development. Before that can happen, the property needs to be rezoned. Monday night, the city's plan commission will decide whether to recommend the city council rezone the property from Residential to Planned Community Development. A public hearing and vote by the city council is expected at the end of the month.
