LA CROSSE (WKOW) -- Logistics Health has just won a 5-year contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. The contact is worth up to $749 million.
LHI will continue to provide medical and dental services through the federal Reserve Health Readiness Program. The La Crosse Tribune says LHI has been involved in the readiness program since 2001 and currently has a contract that expires in March.
LHI has about 900 employees in the La Crosse area. The company was acquired in 2011 by OptumHealth of Golden Valley, Minn., which is part of health care giant UnitedHealth Group of Minnetonka, Minn.
