Racial complaint at Milwaukee Area Technical College

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A nursing student filed a discrimination complaint against Milwaukee Area Technical College.

She's upset with what she saw when she logged-on to take an online test.

Erica Hughes saw the words "dumb n-word" when she entered the college's online grading system.

Hughes says she didn't type the words and the only other person with access to her account is her professor.

"That's just not right and they claim my page was hacked and if it was I would like to see proof. We shouldn't have to go through this it's 2013, we shouldn't have to deal with this," said Hughes.

The college says it is reviewing records to see if her professor or anyone else accessed Hughes' account.

Hughes is now in a new class with a different professor.
