Woman heading to court on embezzlement charges

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin woman will be in court in two weeks on charges of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from her employer.

Jennifer Robinson was a cashier at Apple River Liquor in Somerset. The owner told police she couldn't figure out why the store was losing money. Investigators say surveillance video showed that when a customer paid for items with cash, Robinson would pocket the money and not ring it up on the cash register.

Police say Robinson, of Osceola admitted taking money during every shift she worked for over a year. The store puts its losses at $23,000.
