$2 Million Powerball ticket sold in Eau Claire

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A purchase at an Eau Claire gas station has made someone a millionaire.


A two million dollar Powerball ticket was sold at the Kwik Trip on MacArthur Avenue.  After taxes, the winnings shrink to around $1.3 million.  No word on who the winner is or where they're from.  They have 180 days to claim the prize money.  Kwik Trip will also get a percentage for selling the ticket.  Their take is around $40,000.  There was no jackpot winner, so the pot now swells to $60 million for Saturday's drawing.


Eau Claire (WQOW) - There's a chance you know Eau Claire's newest millionaire. A $2,000,000 Powerball ticket was sold at the Kwik Trip on MacArthur Ave. in Eau Claire for last night's drawing. The winner matched all five numbers with the power play but missed the Powerball.

The winning numbers are 12, 23, 25, 27, 43, and the Powerball is 29. $10,000 tickets were also sold in Sparta and Stevens Point. The odds of matching all five numbers and missing the Powerball: 1 in 5,153,633.
