Gov. Walker proposes money for UW cancer center

MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker is including money for the UW Carbone Cancer Center in his upcoming budget.

The governor wants to invest nearly $4 million to help develop new imaging technology.

The funding would also support the Wisconsin Oncology Network, which allows health centers in smaller communities to enroll patients in cancer clinical trials at the Carbone Cancer Center.
