Eau Claire (WQOW) - Some eighth graders are doing their
homework about bullying, and now they hope to help teach others.
Four
members of a Girl Scout troop from the Stanley-Boyd School District
will host an anti-bullying workshop Saturday. The event is a way to receive
credit for their troop, but also to help educate others about bullying.
"A lot of people if
they see bullying, or if they are being bullied, they are afraid to come
forward and say what's happening. So we hope that this gives them the courage
to stand up for themselves in front of others," said Amanda Wright, one of
the girls who will help host the event.
Registration begins at 12:30
Saturday with presentations starting at 1. Admission is free.
