PRESS RELEASE FROM CHIPPEWA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT. -- On Saturday February 16th, 2013 at approximately 6:12PM. the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office received a report of a one vehicle rollover on STH 29 W/B near MM 82 involving a 2002 Jeep Liberty with three occupants. The vehicle was west bound in the number one lane. The vehicle drifted to the median side of the roadway and collided with the guard rail safety barrier causing the vehicle to roll end over end for approximately three cycles coming to rest on its top in the middle of the number one lane.
STH 29 west bound number one lane was shut down for approximately 45 minutes for removal of the vehicle and clean up. One adult male and one adult female were transported to an Eau Claire area hospital for treatment from injuries sustained in the crash. None of the injuries were life threatening.
